The Norma Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 Scoop of Protein Powder (I use Vanilla Vega Sport)
  • 1 Cup of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 2 Cooked Egg Whites
  • 1 Medium Banana
  • 2 Tsp of Cinnamon
  • 5 Chestnuts (cooked & peeled)
  • 4 Ice Cubes

Drop your ice into your empty blender, followed by your almond milk, protein powder, banana, egg whites, cinnamon & chestnuts. Place your blender on high and blend for 2-3 minutes or until fully blended. Pour immediately into your cup and drink up!

Tuna +2

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cans of Tuna in Water (I like the 365 brand)
  • 1/2 Can of Rinsed Black Beans
  • 1 Small Glass Jar of Marinated Artichokes, strained and marinade set aside
  • 1/4 Tsp Himalayan Pink or Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Ground Pepper
  • Fresh Lemon Juice

Step 1

In a small glass bowl, mix together your drained shredded tuna with your rinsed, pat-dried black beans. 

Step 2

Add your strained, marinated artichokes to your tuna and beans party. Set aside some of that flavor-filled marinade for later. 

Step3

Sprinkle salt and pepper on your Tuna +2 bowl. Add some freshly squeezed lemon juice and pour as much of that reserved artichoke marinade as you'd like on your protein mixture. Gently mix all the ingredients together and enjoy! 

NJAPP "PPS" Pumpkin Protein Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup of Almond Milk
  • 1 Scoop of Protein Powder (I use Vanilla Vega Sport)
  • 1 Small/Medium Banana
  • 1-2 Tsp of Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup of Pumpkin Puree
  • Little Drizzle of Maple Syrup (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp Pumpkin Seeds to add a little crunch
  • 4 Ice Cubes

Step 1

Combine all the above ingredients (except for the pumpkin seeds) in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour immediately into a large glass and top it with your pumpkin seeds. Enjoy with a fun straw.

NJAPP Pro Tip:  The calorie total of the above shake is 310 calories with 30g of protein. This will be my breakfast on Thanksgiving morning so that my metabolism will be functioning the healthy way for the rest of day. Make smart choices and your body will reward you.
